The Custodian of the Holy Mosques Endurance Cup
Overview
A hospitality complex built to host guests and events for the Custodian of the Holy Mosques Endurance Cup in AlUla, comprising reception and covered seating halls plus long internal corridors serving attendees throughout the race days, alongside a companion hospitality pavilion delivered with the event's sponsors.
Concept
A low-slung form with a continuous curved roofline echoing the surrounding sand and rock formations of the AlUla desert, so the building never competes with the vast landscape around it.
Design Approach
Large shading roofs and materials in tones close to the surrounding rock, with an interior that uses timber and warm lighting to create a refined desert-hospitality character.
